hAlLoWeEn 2011

I was stressed about Halloween this year because I would just be coming home from having my surgery and didn't want my boys to miss out on any Halloween fun. There was no need to worry though because it all worked out, mostly because of all the help from my mom...thanks mom!!!!! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I think it is so much fun and I love to hear all the ideas my boys come up with for their costumes. This is what we ended up with this year......

Pace decided he wanted to be a firefighter. This was kinda a last minute decision but I am glad. All along he said he wanted to be a steer wrestler...yes really...but changed his mind a couple days before Halloween. We were in a Halloween store and I saw Pace checking out this fireman costume. He kept walking past it and totally checking it out. So I asked him what he was looking at and he told me that he wished he could be something else for Halloween. Of course I told him he could be whatever he wanted, so he grabbed the fireman costume off the hook as fast as he could. We know Pace is a true cowboy at heart so I am glad he was something different this year. He has been something to do with cowboys for the past couple years. He was a great fireman!!! Pace got to wear his costume to school and have a little parade but we didn't get a picture. I was still in the hospital from my surgery but grandma Marshall got him all dressed up and ready...thanks grandma!!

Cosmo...where did this come from?! Jaygen was so excited to dress like Cosmo, BYU's mascot. We aren't even really BYU fans but Cosmo came to Jaygen's school a while back and he has loved him ever since. I didn't know how I was going to pull off a cougar in a BYU jersey but it turned out pretty cute. Grandma Marshall came to the rescue and sewed the hat with ears and it completed the outfit!! I thought Jaygen looked awesome and he did too...he loved it!!

Last we have Papa Smurf. Briggs is so funny!!! When Briggs finally decided he wanted to be Papa Smurf I jumped all over it. All his other ideas had to do with princesses and dresses!!!! He was the cutest Papa Smurf ever. He wore the costume for days before Halloween and for days after Halloween so I am pretty sure that he liked the costume!

Jaygen also got to wear his costume to school and they had a costume parade. He was so shy I couldn't even get him to look at us. He loved that he got to be Cosmo at school!!

One of Jaygen's highlights from this Halloween was that he got to go trick-or-treating alone with a friend. I hate that my boys are growing up so fast but at the same time I love watching them go through all the different stages. All the boys got lots and lots of candy and had a great time trick-or-treating. I have had a great time eating most of their candy!!!!
