A VISIT FROM THE TOOTHFAIRY!

Jaygen has wanted to loose a tooth for a long time. He said that only him and one other boy in his class at school hadn't lost a tooth yet. Well, finally Jaygen lost his first one....wahoo!!! He has had two bottom teeth loose for awhile now but they weren't quit ready to fall out yet. Todd and I have been telling Jaygen scary stories of when we were little and lost our teeth. My dad always pinned me on the counter and yanked them out with pliers. Todd said he had a lot pulled out with a string tied around them and a door knob and then would slam the door. Well, of course, when we told Jaygen our stories we had to make them sound even worse than they were. Poor little Jaygen didn't know if he should be scared or excited to loose a tooth anymore. He didn't have to experience any torture though, because his tooth got so loose it just fell out in his hand...pretty lucky boy. I guess I will keep my pliers ready for next time...ha ha! Jaygen was super excited to put his tooth under his pillow and sure enough the toothfairy came and brought him some gum with a dollar taped to it. Jaygen couldn't have been happier!

No more "Jimmer Time"!!

Todd got my boys pretty excited about "Jimmer Time" during March Madness and Jaygen even wanted to fill out his own bracket. He did a pretty good job with it. I laughed because he wrote most of the teams backwards down the right-hand column...ha ha! When ever my boys were playing basketball, they would always pretend to be Jimmer. And they would ask, "What time is it? It's Jimmer time!" Oh, we have had lots of fun with it. Well, my boys wanted to have a "Jimmer party" during the BYU/Florida game. So we went to the store and bought lots of treats and were all ready for the game. For a bit we thought they had a chance but then Jimmer kept throwing up three-pointers and they were not going in. I don't know why he kept throwing the ball up, but anyway, when the game was over Jaygen went in and got his bracket off the fridge. He said he was changing his pick to Florida and it wasn't "Jimmer Time" anymore! You can't really see it in the picture, but Jaygen crossed out BYU and wrote Florida backwards above it. Jaygen always makes me laugh! I guess we aren't true Jimmer fans after all!!! :)

Moab Half Marathon!!!!

Stacia, Tiff, Me, Darla

Well, this race could be summed up in one word...WIND!!!!!!! Holy cow, did the wind blow?! Good thing I don't do races just to run, it is more about the fun girls time I get! :) The four of us gals headed out for the loooong trip to Moab. Good thing we didn't brake down or anything because there is nothing between here and there.

I was so excited when we drew out because we put in for this race last year and didn't draw out. Moab had some really yummy restaurants that we ate in and some fun little shops that we walked through. We all ended up buying the same running shirt and decided spur-of-the-moment to all wear them to run in. We totally stood out, but hopefully we might get on the race website with our matching outfits!

I am amazed that I actually finished the race still alive because of the strong wind. The wind was blowing like crazy right in our faces the whole race. Living in Delta we run in the wind a lot, but this was even worse. I felt like I need to put my arms out and try to swim or something through the wind. I got a full body work out that is for sure. But, oh my heck, they had good food after the race, which kinda.....kinda.....made up for the wind. They had cinnamon bread, cookies, chips, string cheese, chocolate candy, and chocolate milk. Wow, that is my kind of after race food! :)
Thanks for a fun weekend gals!!! Now just think, our next race is the big one...our marathon!! :)

He Got Away Again!!!

My boys love St. Patrick's Day!! They are always making big plans about how they are going to catch the leprechaun. This year Jaygen kept saying he wanted to make an elevator that would trap the leprechaun. Well, okay Jaygen...what ever...I have no idea how to make an elevator that would catch a leprechaun. So my boys came up with something else instead. I was actually so proud of them because the idea was all their own and they made it all on their own. Jaygen drew a rainbow and then they crumpled up yellow paper to look like gold. They put the "gold" on a plate under the rainbow and put sticky tape around the gold. The plan was that the leprechaun would see the gold and when he went to grab it he would step on the tape and get stuck. When I saw what they had rigged up I was totally laughing. Good job boys...too bad he got away again!!!!

Before the leprechaun got away, he played some tricks on the boys like always. He turned the toilet water green, turned the milk in the fridge green, scattered green paper all over our house, and then gave them a shamrock kiss on their cheeks while they are sleeping. It is so fun watching the boys when they wake up in the morning and see everything the leprechaun has done! Then to top everything off, we have green pancakes for breakfast. We always have a fun St. Patrick's Day!!!

Binkie Free...YEA!!!!

Yea for me and for Briggs!!! Today is day 5 since the big separation with the binkie. I think we are going to make it!!! The truth is that I am the one that couldn't not get rid of Briggs' binkie. He is too old for it and has been ready for a really long time, but I just haven't wanted to make the big change. I know that I have liked being able to give it to him when he has been way fussy but mostly I think it is that he is growing up too fast and I am not ready! With my other boys all these milestones haven't been such a big deal because I always had another baby. Well now I don't have another baby...Briggs is my baby!!! Briggs is out of his crib now and sleeping in a "big boy" bed and that was hard for me too. I just can't believe how fast time goes! Briggs is all about getting himself dressed these days which is a good thing, but if you notice from his pictures some of the outfits are pretty crazy. Briggs loves basketball shorts so about everyday that is what he dresses himself in with some pretty random shirts and shoes. Well on the day I took this picture, Pace said to me, "Look mom, Briggs knows how to match his clothes!" I just laughed...yep he does!!! I should be glad for how independent Briggs is and be glad that he won't be taking his binkie to kindergarten with him after all!!!

Our 10th Anniversary...I can't believe it!!

I don't want to post a wedding picture of us because it just reminds me of all the pounds I have gained over the years and how old I am looking. So I will post a recent picture of us that shows the three greatest blessings that we could have asked for...our boys!! And I can thank those three blessing for my added pounds! :)Todd and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this week and of course Todd made it special for me. We are not big on celebrating, but Todd planned a weekend away for us in warm, sunny....St. George! ha ha We dropped the boys off with my mom and then headed to St. George. We had the best time! Having three little boys and so much going on in life, it is easy to forget how much fun Todd and I can have together. The best part about the weekend was just being able to spend time alone with Todd! Of course we ate at way yummy restaurants, went to the movie, just hung around, and went to the temple. It was really nice to go to the temple together. It had been a WAY long time since we had. We weren't even away from the boys long enough to miss them, but it was super nice of my mom to keep them so we could get away...thanks mom!!!

I truly am so lucky Todd is my husband and the father of my boys. Todd makes me a better person. I am so happy and don't want to change anything. Looking back over the past 10 years, which have flown by, I have been so blessed with everything. Everything hasn't always turned out as I would have liked or planned, but it has been a great 10 years!!! I married my best friend and life is great! We have our three little boys to share our journey with us, and I couldn't ask for anything more! Happy 10th Anniversary Todd and thanks for being the husband you are. I love you so much and always!!!

WiLd GoOsE cHaSe!

Well, this is a horrible picture of me and Todd, but it is all we have. We hurried and got a picture of us with Todd's cell phone as we were leaving the race last Saturday. It is snow goose time once again here in Delta so that means it is the "famous" Wild Goose Chase time again! It was super fun as always but different this year because I got Todd to run with me and I got to be on the race committee.
Todd and I just ran the 5k since Todd didn't even train for this big event and that totally ticks me off. I have been running now for two years and it is still a challenge for me. Todd can just wake up one morning and decide he wants to run 3 miles...and he can!!!! We did really well and I took first place in my age division, but there was a 65 year old lady right in front of us that we didn't pass. I was way bugged by it but I think Todd was WAY bugged by it. It hurt his ego a bit being beat by an "old lady". :)
I had a great time being on the race committee. I have ran in lots of races, so it was fun to be on the other side of things. You really see what goes into putting a race on. Overall, we did a great job and things went well. We had some major problems with the racers times, but we will get the kinks worked out and it will be even better next year!!
