March Madness!

Like father, like son! :) Todd LOVES march madness to say the least. I am sure he would sit and watch the basketball games all day straight if he could. Well, the other day he propped Briggs up so he could watch too and Briggs just sat there and watch and watch and watch. I know Todd loved every minute of it!

4 mOnThS oLd AnD aDoRaBlE!

"Briggster" is 4 months old today...wow! I am truly loving every minute with Briggs. He is such a cheese ball....always smiling and laughing. He is starting to pack on the pounds too. I can't believe how fast he is out growing all his clothes. I also knew it would happen, but I didn't want to face the facts that he would probably lose all his dark hair. Sure enough he just about has it all gone. Hopefully it will come back in dark, but either way, I think he is still adorable! He is starting to be able to grab things and of course puts them right in his mouth to suck on them...that is when he isn't sucking on his hands. He is starting to move around on the floor too, so maybe rolling over isn't to far off. I am so blessed to have three boys. I love you Briggster!!

Can't Catch Me!

I am wondering what I have started!? Jaygen had been really curious about leprechauns this year and wanted to know all about St. Patrick's Day, so I decided to try an idea that I saw. We made a leprechaun trap for family home evening to capture the leprechaun that would visit our house this year. The trap had a trap door on the top and fake gold as our bait to put on it that would lure the leprechaun in. Then Jaygen put it in a special spot that for sure the leprechaun would find it in the night. Both Jaygen and Pace were so excited to go to bed that you would have thought it was Christmas! To their surprise when they woke up the next morning the leprechaun had been here....but got away. The leprechaun took enough time while he was here though to leave scraps of geen paper all through our house and turn the water in the toilet green. He even hid some chocolate gold coins for the boys in the bath tub. I don't know for sure what Jaygen is thinking of St. Patrick's Day now, but he could not believe the leprechaun got away. He has already planned what to do for the trap next year!!! :)

Has It Really Been 8 Years?!

Today is our 8 year anniversary.....where does the time go!? I have to share a wedding picture to show that Todd really did once have hair! :) Unfortunately it also shows that I have many unwanted extra pounds. I guess that is what unconditional love is!!

Todd and I are both not feeling to well today so we decided to just stay home and not celebrate to much. We ordered pizza and had a candlelight dinner with Jaygen and Pace....I know really romantic! It actually turned out to be lots of fun. Pace kept blowing the candles out and Jaygen kept singing happy birthday to us. We couldn't have asked for better entertainment.

Thinking back over the last 8 years of my life, I couldn't ask for anything better. Todd and I are best friends and have so many great memories. We have shared challenges as well as many joys, including our three little boys. Todd is a supportive and loving husband and a patient and loving father. Our boys adore him! Despite the hair loss and weight gain, we are still as happy in love as we were 8 years ago. There isn't anyone I would rather share this journey of life with than Todd! Happy Anniversary Todd, I love you !!

What's For Dinner?!

So, Todd has been way excited for the Snow Goose Hunt (you would have to be to wake up and go sit in the cold at 5 a.m.)! He had a chance to go opening morning for a little while and sure enough he came home with dinner.....yea!! :) Pace was soooo excited when Todd came home with the birds. He wanted to keep touching them and carrying them around. Jaygen was at preschool when Todd got home, so Todd had to wait to clean them until Jaygen could see them. When Jaygen got home from preschool he saw them in the garage and came running in the house and said "Mom I need you to take my picture!" My boys love this stuff...thanks to their dad! I know Todd can't wait until they are old enough to go with him, but I can because that means even more birds to eat!!! :)
