What's For Dinner?!

So, Todd has been way excited for the Snow Goose Hunt (you would have to be to wake up and go sit in the cold at 5 a.m.)! He had a chance to go opening morning for a little while and sure enough he came home with dinner.....yea!! :) Pace was soooo excited when Todd came home with the birds. He wanted to keep touching them and carrying them around. Jaygen was at preschool when Todd got home, so Todd had to wait to clean them until Jaygen could see them. When Jaygen got home from preschool he saw them in the garage and came running in the house and said "Mom I need you to take my picture!" My boys love this stuff...thanks to their dad! I know Todd can't wait until they are old enough to go with him, but I can because that means even more birds to eat!!! :)

My First 5K Run!!!!!!

Okay.... so you would think I ran a marathon by how excited I was, but I have never been a runner!! I didn't even have to be hauled away in the ambulance! :) It was fun to run it with friends and I am sure that is what kept me going. I even got to bring home a 2nd place certificate for my age group! Jaygen and Pace were excited for me too and had been asking for a couple of days when I was racing. That night after the race when I was putting Jaygen to bed he said, "But mom, you were suppose to win!" Little does he know it took all I had to run it as fast as I did! I would have liked to have had flashing lights and balloons and confetti or something at the finish line for me, but I guess just having my four boys waiting was enough! :) I have been having fun running and can't wait until my next race!

Our Trip to Island Park (aka Winter Wonderland)!

Brrr....... This last weekend we headed up to Island Park, ID to see Todd's parents, or as Jaygen would say Grandma and Grandpa with Sage (their dog). It was another long car ride, but well worth the trip. We were all so excited to go and had a great time!! We did a little snowmobiling, went sledding, had a snowball fight, made snow angels, saw some moose, and warmed up in the cabin by the fire! Oh, and we can't forget the many Rummy card games to see who does the dishes. I don't want to rub it in, but Todd did come home with his hands a lot softer and cleaner than mine!!!! :) We also rode to West Yellowstone one day to the "Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center". It was awesome! The boys loved seeing the bears and wolves.

We always have a good time and wish we could have one more day to play in the snow. Grandma and Grandpa Mullen are lots of fun! Jaygen cried when we loaded in the truck to head home - that shows just how much fun!!! We do have to come home though so we can thaw out! :)
