4th of July Weekend!

Okay, so there are a ton of pictures, but they are for me. I didn't want to leave anything out. I love the 4th of July celebration in Delta! There is so much to do that we decided this year to take it easy. Little kids can only handle so much fun!
My mom and dad and sister and her family came to celebrate with us. We started the celebration with the kids parade. This is still my favorite part of the whole celebration. The kids decorate their bikes up all nice and then it is a race down main street to the park. I just about missed Jaygen on his bike because he was at the front of the pack with the older kids and I still expected him to be back with the younger kids and have Todd helping him along. Wow, kids grow up fast!!!!

Despise Pace's tears in the pictures, all the kids were excited to decorate their bikes!

After the kid parade we went back to our house and had cake and ice cream to celebrate Grandpa Marshall's b-day. All the grandkids had a blast helping grandpa blow out his candles. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!

Todd ran a night golf tournament this year (which turned out WAY fun) so Todd and Josh were off to that next. The rest of us did fireworks. Grandpa put on a great firework show for the grandkids!

All the kids loved dancing during the flashing fireworks...they looked so cute!

Well, the next morning was the big parade. All the kids were ready with their candy bags. We had a great time watching.

My Boys!
As we were leaving for the parade, Pace had a melt down because he remembered their were horses to ride at the park after the parade and he wanted to wear his "cowboy clothes". I mean everything...hat, shirt, pants, belt, chaps, spurs...everything. I told him that he couldn't because he would be too hot at the parade. So, we agreed that I would pack them and he could put them on before he rode the horse. That is excatly what he did. He stripped down to his underwear in the park and got his "cowboy clothes" on so he would be ready for the horse ride!
It was hard to get a smile out of Pace while he rode his horse, not because he wasn't having fun, but because he was concentrating and soaking up every minute of it. My dad was laughing so hard at him and said that "that kid really knows how to ride".

Pace is a cute cowboy!!
Jaygen loved the horse ride too!

Briggs didn't really have a smile either, but I know he loved it because he didn't want to get off!

The older kids had lots of fun on the crazy trailer ride...they laughed the whole time!

After the park, we headed back home and the kids swam in the backyard and we had a BBQ. I didn't take any pictures of them swimming because by this time I was DONE! :) We had a great weekend and I am so glad that my family came to celebrate with us. We always have so much fun with them!!
