Signs of Fall!

Fall is in the air and I am so excited! We took a picnic and the 4-wheelers up the canyon last night and had a really good time. Jaygen and Pace had to wear their orange to make sure no one thought they were a deer...they make me laugh! The leaves are starting to change and the mountain looks really pretty. We totally had to buddle up to ride the 4-wheelers and that is my favorite sign that Fall is coming. I love it when the weather starts to cool off. We had a really fun night and I took a few pictures of all the fun!

Happy 6th Birthday Jaygen!

Jaygen turned 6 years old a couple days ago...I really can't believe it! We had celebrated with my family over the weekend but Jaygen was excited to have his own special day. He actually kinda had two special days. Todd was going to be out of town on his birthday so the day before Todd took him to lunch and then we opened his presents. We gave Jaygen a BB gun and he was supper excited! I kinda wondered about it, but Todd is certain he is ready for it and would love it. Jaygen has had so much fun shooting at his targets. All these "boy toys" are kinda more than I can handle. I really hope no one looses and eye!! His birthday turned out to be a crazy day. Jaygen's school was cancelled that day because of a water leak. Any other kid might have been way excited but Jaygen was way bummed. He loves school and I think he was also bummed because he had his treats all ready to take to his class for his birthday and then had to wait. :( I was glad to have him home with me all day though. I don't realize how much I miss him being gone!

I had told Jaygen he couldn't have a friends party every year but he wanted one so bad and I just couldn't tell him no. So in just a couple days I threw one together. Jaygen first said he wanted a football party and I told him no because that is what he did last year. So next he wanted to have a motorbike party. With all the great recourses I have available to me here in Delta, it turned out to be just a "racing" party. :) While grandpa Marshall was here over the weekend, he took a bobcat to the empty lot behind our house and made a race track for the party. Jaygen was so excited! Grandpa Marshall is for sure one of Jaygen's heroes. They have a special bond and Jaygen loves him sooo much! Luckily, since Todd was out of town on Jaygen's birthday, my friend Tiff came to my rescue and helped me with the party and the 12 boys. Besides the horrible wind that ruined all my cute decorations, it turned out to be a fun party...I think all the little guys had a good time!
Jaygen-birthday boy!

I had all the boys bring their bikes to the party to race on the track. I made race numbers and we attached them to their bikes. The boys totally ate that up! :)

There were lots of wipeouts and bikes with training wheels getting stuck but only a few tears!

After the boys raced for a while, we did a race car pinata and then headed inside to get out of the wind and to have cupcakes and ice cream and open presents. Another party down and many, many more to come!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAYGEN! Jaygen is such a great kid. He is the best helper ever and is really good at listening and obeying. He is a great big brother to Pace and Briggs. Jaygen has a really tender heart and is an emotional little guy. But he is also hilarious. He is always making me laugh especially with his funny facial expression. Jaygen loves going to school, reading books, riding (and jumping) his bike, playing with friends, and being with his dad! What would I do with out him?! I love you Jaygen!!!

PARTY TIME!!

This weekend my parents and my sister and her kids came over to celebrate the boys' birthdays. We just hung out and had a way fun day. I made Pace and Jaygen each a cake so we could sing to them and they could blow out their candles. Usually I spend a few weeks thinking about their birthday cakes and how I am going to decoarate them. Well this year really all I was worried about is that they tasted good. So, I made a triple chocolate cake with hot fudge frosting and then just cut it in half to decorate for them. They still turned out to be cute cakes but...wow...they tasted yummy!!!! You guessed it...Pace wanted a horse cake. I kept it super simple this year but it worked perfect for Pace.

Jaygen's birthday is tuesday but we did his cake too so we could celebrate with my family. He wanted a racing cake so this is what I came up with.
Thanks to my family for coming over and for the presents. We always have a great time together!!! I wish I would have taken more pictures of all the kids together. Especially with my sisters new little baby boy who is only a couple weeks old. They are a bunch of cute kids:)
