Mullen Family Christmas Party - 2011!!!

We always look forward to our Annual Mullen Family Christmas Party! It is fun to get together with the fam during the holidays:) We started the festivities off with a little bowling. Of course I am so awesome at bowling I didn't get any pictures of me or even Todd...just the boys!! When you only bowl once a year it sure isn't one of my greatest talents! :) It was a blast though and all the kids had a great time! Pace

Jaygen

All the grandkids...Jaygen, Audrey, Parker, Spencer, James, Maddie, Myles, Claire, Lillian, Isabelle, Briggs, Pace...what a crew!!

Then we were off for more fun...of course it included food! Grandpa Mullen always makes his famous chili verde and it is scrumptious!!! I am sure all of the kids favorite part is the opening of the presents. When you see all the presents that get opened, it really makes you realize how lucky you are! We are a blessed family!

All the kids sitting really nice waiting for the presents to start! :)

The kids had a "yummy" time decorating some sugar cookies that Aunt Kris brought. Pretty sure my boys ate enough frosting to last all year! :)

It was really nice to be with the whole Mullen clan. We had a good visit and the kids loved playing and being crazy with each other. Thanks to Lynn and Melissa who hosted us at their house once again!!!

Dear Santa...

My boys were all certain they had been good boys this year so we needed to get our letters written to Santa he knew what they wanted!! Jaygen did a good job writing his own letter. He was full of questions for Santa. He has been asking me lots of questions too. It makes me sad...I don't want my boys to grow up!!!

Briggs has been pretty worried about Santa's reindeer biting him I guess, because that is what he wanted to write in his letter to Santa...how funny!!! I have assured him that the reindeer will stay outside so he doesn't need to worry! :)

Pace said he hasn't just been a good boy this year, but a super good boy!! :) He knows for certain what he wants for Christmas. Every time you ask him he tells you the exact same thing and it sounds like a recording!

It wouldn't be Christmas if we didn't get to go to IFA to sit on Santa's lap. I think I love it so much because it is such a small town atmosphere...just look in the background at the rabbit food for the backdrop..lol!!! My boys totally looked the part too dressed in their camo ready to go duck hunting!

Jaygen told Santa he wanted a black angry bird. Pace told him he wanted hunting stuff, cowboy hat, and new tractor. Briggs told Santa he wanted a sucker...that one will be easy!!

To top it all off we get to go on a hay ride...the highlight for Pace, of course!! What fun memories!!

Lights at Temple Square

We decided to head up to the lights at Temple Square this year. We met up with Mel and her kids and my mom. The kids always like to ride Trax to downtown so we did...but holy cow...it takes forever!!!! My boys love maps so they totally loved the maps on Trax. They kept a close eye on our route! And they carried their maps all over Temple Square so we would have the map for the ride home. It made me laugh...what funny boys!

It was FREEZING but so beautiful! You always have to fight through all the people but I love the feeling as you walk around looking at the lights. They are amazing! We all had a great time but for sure had to stop and get a hot chocolate as we were leaving since we were completely frozen! Briggs, Jaygen, Pace
