The Birthday Cakes!!!!

Jaygen and Pace's birthdays are only 5 days apart so Grandma and Grandpa Marshall came over this weekend to bring more presents and have birthday cake with us. Thanks grandma ad grandpa...it meant a lot to the boys!!!

Jaygen isn't having a big friend birthday party this year but he still wanted a pirate themed birthday. So, I got his cake whipped out! I made him a pirate's hat cake. It turned out ok. Jaygen liked it but wanted to know where the gold coins that went around it were. I agree, it kinda needed something else. But oh well, I wanted him to have his cake when grandma and grandpa where here so he could blow out his candles too. I won't explain this picture of the boys by their cakes. Their expressions say it all...ha ha!!!!!!

Good thing I took a picture of Jaygen by his pirate cake, because he won't have it on his birthday. It fell over that night and was ruined :( We will have to do cupcakes on is real birthday.

We had a great time celebrating and singing to both Pace and Jaygen. Now we have a lot of cake to eat!!!!

hApPy BiRtHdAy PACE!!!

Pace was so so so excited to turn 5. A couple days before his birthday he told me he had never been this happy. I asked him why and he said," Because I have never been 5 before!" :) When we asked Pace what he wanted for is birthday he said all "baseball stuff". He loves loves loves baseball!! Pace got his own bat bag, t-ball bat, t-balls, and batting gloves...he loved it all. His brothers gave him some fishing stuff and an umbrella.

Pace got his first friends birthday party this year. Of course he wanted a baseball themed party. He also wanted to invite some girls, which totally surprised me since he is usually anti-girls!!! All the cute kids at the party!

We played a few baseball relay games, had a pinata, opened presents, blew out his birthday candles, and then ate some baseball food...hot dogs and nachos!

The cake...I attempted to make a baseball hat cake. I think why do I even attempt?! Then when it is done it doesn't seem so bad and Pace loved it! I made some cupcakes to put the candles in and for the kids to eat so we could save the cake for the family party.

I think Pace had a great birthday! It was a special day for him. He opened lots of presents, went to lunch with Todd, had a party, then got to go to the football game. What a fun day!!!!

Pace is an active kid. He is always moving...playing catch, riding his bike, playing "cowboy games", golfing, and running around with his friends. Rarely do you see Pace sitting down. He is always on the go. Pace is such a sweet boy. He gives the best hugs and always has great compliments for his mom! :) He totally has a love/hate relationship with his brothers. He looks up to Jaygen a lot but fights like crazy with him. He is a sweet older brother to Briggs and always takes care of him but then tackles him to the ground to duke it out! Pace TOTALLY idolizes Todd. Pace thinks his dad is the coolest ever!!!! And he is...Todd is a great dad to my boys!

Happy 5th birthday Pace! I am glad you are so happy! I love you lots!!

Briggs...

Poor little Briggs has been having the hardest time adjusting to having his brothers gone to school. They played together all summer long and now he is left with just mom. He misses his brothers ALOT!!!

Well, on the first day of school I could hear Briggs in my bedroom playing. I couldn't tell what he was up to until I heard him cheering "Go Delta, Go Delta!" I went in my room and there was Briggs...wearing my skirt, using my duster for his pom-pom, and cheering!!!! I about died!! After I realized it really was happening, I grabbed my camera and told him to keep cheering and twirling so I could take his picture..ha ha! Then I said that was enough and there would be absolutely no more wearing my skirts and cheering. :)

...ENOUGH SAID!!!!!
