WiLd GoOsE cHaSe!

Well, this is a horrible picture of me and Todd, but it is all we have. We hurried and got a picture of us with Todd's cell phone as we were leaving the race last Saturday. It is snow goose time once again here in Delta so that means it is the "famous" Wild Goose Chase time again! It was super fun as always but different this year because I got Todd to run with me and I got to be on the race committee.
Todd and I just ran the 5k since Todd didn't even train for this big event and that totally ticks me off. I have been running now for two years and it is still a challenge for me. Todd can just wake up one morning and decide he wants to run 3 miles...and he can!!!! We did really well and I took first place in my age division, but there was a 65 year old lady right in front of us that we didn't pass. I was way bugged by it but I think Todd was WAY bugged by it. It hurt his ego a bit being beat by an "old lady". :)
I had a great time being on the race committee. I have ran in lots of races, so it was fun to be on the other side of things. You really see what goes into putting a race on. Overall, we did a great job and things went well. We had some major problems with the racers times, but we will get the kinks worked out and it will be even better next year!!

BOYS NIGHT OUT!!

Todd has been wanting to take the boys to a Jazz game since last season. So they finally made it last week. Todd and the boys met one of Todd's friends their and his little kids. Good thing they went when they did...who knew it was going to be "D Will's" last game?! Jaygen and Pace had the time of their lives with their dad!! They wanted to ride the train to the Energy Solutions Arena so they did, and then Todd let them pick out a Jazz hat before the game. Todd made it an extra special time for them. They even sat on the 13th row...hopefully our boys know they won't always have that good of seats!!! We are more nose-bleed section people! :) I am glad Todd got to spend this time with Jaygen and Pace. Poor little Briggs had to stay home with me. We had a good time too, but it was so weird only having one kid with me. What will I do when all my boys are old enough to go????

Catching Up!!!

This is not like me to get behind, but I have. My life has been sooooo crazy lately! So i am trying to catch up on our last couple weeks. Todd has been out of town, and I have been out of town, but we have also found time to do lots of fun things!

Todd had a chance to go goose hunting with some guys. The boys could hardly wait for him to get home so they could see if he shot one. Sure enough he did!! My boys aren't quite old enough yet to go on the hunt so instead they just play with the dead birds that get brought home. They spent a lot of time carrying this poor snow goose around the garage....crazy!!

We took a really quick trip with some friends (Kyle, Shannon and their boys) to a cabin at Otter Creek. We could only spend one night but had a really good time. The boys went ice fishing a little bit and then we just hung out. It was nice to get away. Thanks guys for a fun time. :)

I could not get Jaygen to turn around for his picture. He was way too busy waiting for a bite!:)

Now comes what Todd could hardly wait for.....the Superbowl!!! Todd has been a life long Steelers fan so he was pretty excited. Jaygen has chosen to be a Broncos fan, but Pace is a die hard Steelers fan with his dad. That is pretty obvious from the Steelers uniform Pace wears all the time...well at least when he isn't wearing all his cowboy clothes! :) Josh is a huge Greenbay fan so this was a pretty serious game for our family. We went up to Mel and Josh's to watch the game hoping that it would have a different ending. Instead Josh was totally rubbing it in Todd's face and Todd came home with a few tears in his eyes...Pace too! :)
We got all three boys dressed appropriately for the game...unfortunately, it didn't help get the win! :(

Before the game started, the boys had a pretty rough game of their own. Poor Braylee kept getting caught in the middle!

Todd can not believe I am posting this picture because there is a HUGE problem with it, but it shows all the cute kids ready for the game. (Minus little Treyson who was wearing Greenbay stuff too.)

Last weeked was our annual "Mullen Girls' Weekend". Every year we shop, shop, shop and eat, eat, eat. And every year we have a super good time! It is fun to be with the gals minus all the kids so we can just relax and visit. Thanks for another fun year!!

This picture kills me because we are totally posing on the staircase in our motel. Ha Ha

What better to end with than our family candle lit dinner on Valentine's Day. We cooked up a heart-shaped pizza, turned the lights down low, and love was in the air! JK But we really had a great time. My boys look forward to it each year. I don't think Briggs took one bite of his pizza because he was too busy blowing out the candles. Pace (the boss) spent a lot of his time getting mad at Briggs for blowing them out. So yes, love was really in the air!!!! I had a great Valentine's Day! Todd always makes it special! I love my boys! :)

Phew...I think I am finally caught up!!!!
