PARTY TIME!!

This weekend my parents and my sister and her kids came over to celebrate the boys' birthdays. We just hung out and had a way fun day. I made Pace and Jaygen each a cake so we could sing to them and they could blow out their candles. Usually I spend a few weeks thinking about their birthday cakes and how I am going to decoarate them. Well this year really all I was worried about is that they tasted good. So, I made a triple chocolate cake with hot fudge frosting and then just cut it in half to decorate for them. They still turned out to be cute cakes but...wow...they tasted yummy!!!! You guessed it...Pace wanted a horse cake. I kept it super simple this year but it worked perfect for Pace.

Jaygen's birthday is tuesday but we did his cake too so we could celebrate with my family. He wanted a racing cake so this is what I came up with.
Thanks to my family for coming over and for the presents. We always have a great time together!!! I wish I would have taken more pictures of all the kids together. Especially with my sisters new little baby boy who is only a couple weeks old. They are a bunch of cute kids:)

hPaPy BiRtHdAy PACE!!!

Happy 4th birthday to Pace! He is truly his own person. Pace is such a cute, funny boy and is always making me laugh. He loves...and I mean loves...to talk! He will talk your ear right off if you let him. And it seems that no matter what you are talking about the conversation always ends with something to do with horses or bulls. Pace eats, sleeps and drinks anything to do with cowboys. I keep thinking that Pace with get bored with cowboy stuff and find something new to love, but it is just the opposite! Pace wanted to take horse cupcakes to his preschool today so that is just what we did. I just turned some coconut green for hay and stuck a little plastic horse on the top. They turned out pretty cute and Pace totally loved them. Of course, since he was taking horse cupcakes, he had to wear all his cowboy clothes to school. He really is a cute cowboy!! We are holding off on a party for Pace until Saturday when all my family comes. So, today after preschool Pace got to go to lunch with just him and Todd. Pace was so excited and Todd said they had a great time, and of course, Pace talked the whole time! Then when they got home we opened up his presents. Pace has known for months what he wanted for his birthday so it has been a great bribe to get him to do things, ha ha! He wanted nothing else but a great big horse truck and trailer. It was great watching him unwrap them. He was totally screaming and kept coming and giving me a hug and saying thank you, thank you! He also got some cowboy guns from Briggs, a horse for his horse trailer from grandma and grandpa Marshall, and a whoopee cushion from Jaygen...how funny! We will have a lot of fun with that. :)

I am so lucky to be Pace's mom. I think back to 4 years ago when I had him and I can't believe all that has happened in my life. We moved to Delta about 5 years ago and I was feeling totally lost in my life wondering what I was suppose to be doing. I had been teaching school in St. George and couldn't believe that I just had to be a mom now. After being here just a little while, I found out I was pregnant with Pace. That was my answer. I was now going to have two little guys to look after. I knew I was suppose to be a full-time mom. Life is great and I can't believe I am a mom of three boys! My boys are growing up too fast and I can't hardly stand it!
Pace adds so much to our family. He always makes us laugh, but he also makes Jaygen and Briggs scream. Pace totally knows how to push their buttons and he does it on purpose. Pace loves to tease. I admit alot of times I just sit back and watch it all happen because it is really funny! :) There is also a side of Pace that loves sports. When ever he isn't playing with his horses and bulls, he will for sure have a ball in his hand. It doesn't matter what kind, but he is always kicking or throwing a ball.
Happy birthday Pace! I love you so much!

Pace's First Day of Preschool (kinda)

This last week Pace had his first day of preschool. I am just doing a little preschool with some other moms but Pace has wanted to go to school for a long time so this was a big deal for him. The morning of his first day he waited out front for me forever so I could take his picture like I did Jaygen on his first day of school.

When I went to pick Pace up after his first day his attitude was a little different. He told me that I took forever to come get him. Then when we were getting ready for his school the next day he kept telling me that he was sick. I knew he wasn't really sick and just didn't want to go. He is too young to know how to pretent sick, right?! I heard Jaygen in their room talking to him and he told Pace it was okay to feel a little bit nervous and that he would still have fun. I thought that was so cute. I wonder where Jaygen has heard that before? :)

Well, I did get Pace out the door to go to school again but he totally cried when I got there. This really surprises me with Pace. He is my boy that I didn't think I would have these problems with. Pace is totally a little social guy and loves to play and talk to anyone. When he got home after is second day he wasn't crying anymore but did tell me he didn't want to go to school all the time. Oh, Pace! Little does he know he has more school ahead of him than he can imagine! :)
